我用这个程序主要用于产品推荐and will base my review on that. It‘s great that Shopify has added a product recommendation API and is actively developing it. It recently updated the feature to include complementary products. Having a built-in product recommendation feature is really valuable and I’m using it quite a bit. However, the way you interact with the product recommendations is pretty time consuming. My biggest problem at the moment is the pagination and the fact that when you browse to a product already listed and click on it to edit, once you finish the pagination is reset to page 1 so I need to browse again to get to the same group of products I was working with. Having a filter on the existing products would help a lot here and also persisting the filter or the pagination. Also, I add the same recommendations to a lot of products so having a way to add/edit in bulk would be extremely helpful to me. The Product Recommendation feature/API would get a 5-star review from me but unfortunately this app has its shortcomings.
Solid app on the whole, considering the functionality it provides at no extra cost - however I've experienced one quite frustrating issue:
I use metafields to filter my products, and I've found that sometimes this app does not stay in sync with the my products. The metafields are definitely there and consistent between products, but only a few of them show up when selecting the filter. Brute forcing it by removing and re-adding the metafield on those products over and over again does work eventually and makes this app update, but it's quite a frustrating process doing this and trying to figure out which products this app has missed.
Hi, there - sorry to hear you're experiencing some difficulty with metafields. The Search & Discovery app doesn't sync a copy of the store's product metafield information, instead it presents the information Shopify has stored. There may be an issue with how metafields are being saved. To properly troubleshoot this, we recommend contacting Shopify Support where they can gather more information about how metafields are set and updated on your store.
The app allows you to set filters only for the entire online store and has restrictions for the entire online store. For some businesses, this may be enough, but we sell equipment - our collections have completely different filters and we simply cannot fit into the limit. It would be great to customize filters for each collection.
In general, Shopify as a platform has strong limitations with property fields for filters. We could write a json metafield in our products or variants, but the app doesn't support that.
Thank you for your review. We've shared this feature request with the team for future consideration.
I would like to add colour filter to my collection page and there is not even an instruction how to do it. My store has no variant products. All products are individual what ever it would be easier to my customers to filter by colours and theme. To clarify my subject this is a fabric shop. So add colour filters would be easier to my customers to find specific colours. I have tried to add metafields to the product maybe it show up on the filters menu and somehow I can connect the metafield to colour swatch but that is doesn't work either. Any recommendation how I can use colour filter on your app? basically this doesn't work at all only useful for shop who has variant colours under each products which is not help at all.
If your products do not have variants, and you need a Color filter for them, you will need to create a product metafield definition labelled “Color”. Head over to your shop settings, and look under “Custom data”, that's where you manage metafield definitions. Add a new product metafield definition and name it “Color”. Select the type “Single line text” for it. You can use the “Limit to preset choices” feature under “Validation” > “Rules” to control the order in which colors will appear in your filter later. Once you have created your product metafield definition, you can bulk edit your products to set a color for each of them in that metafield. Once you have done so, you can add that metafield as a filter in the Search & Discovery app. If your theme supports “color swatches”, then you will need to follow your theme's specific instructions to have the color text replaced by a swatch on your storefront. In doubt, contact your theme creator.
It is not possible to create multiple filters with the same value, which should be a basic feature. There are very limited options available for creating filters.
When adding products under 'Edit product recommendations' section I would like filter options. At present search results include archived and draft products without any indication of status. It's only once they're added that a you're warned eg. "Archived products won't appear as a recommendation". This makes it very slow to find relivant products.
Been useful so far to be able to target specific products or related items. would like to be able to create a list of words and then attached XYZ products to them. rather than having to to into each product and add every search option. that would be helpful
Thanks for your feedback. You can do this by selecting all products with filter/search capabilities and using the bulk editor.
Good.

你好,谢谢你的反馈。所选filters dynamically adjust based on the products in a given collection or search. For example, if you have a filter for "skirt length" based on a metafield, the filter only displays when the products in the collection or search results have values for the "skirt length" metafield.
It's a good app but be careful creating product tags. You can't edit or delete them once made. You can't have 2 tags that are basically the same but one is capitalized and the other isn't. I made the mistake of creating a tag in all lower case letters and now I can't create the same tag but capitalized properly and I can't edit the old one. This really needs to be changed.
Thank you for your feedback. You can delete a tag by deleting it off every product it is added to.
Was all working fine. This morning (36 hours after switching theme to a 2.0 one and deleting my old Filter and Search app) 80% of the filters don't show or work anymore. What is going on? This app need sorting ASAP ***Update*** Following a stressful morning of it not working - a live chat to the very helpful Shane got things rolling and it was all sorted by mide afternoon. Hopefully will be more stable going forward!
Thank you for your feedback! i'm glad you were able to be supported by Shane and find a resolution. We have resolved a temporary issue and the filters are now working as expected.
