This app is very bad and a time suck. Once you get going, it is like you can't stop and the problems and connection/verification issues literally get worse the more you try to fix. I have been trying to get FB and IG shopping hooked up for over a year. Last week, I disconnected from shopify to start over. Now my catalog is completely disconnected and it wont allow me to reconnect. It is stating the asset is already connected and to go to my commerce manager. Commerce manager in one place is stating it is connected and in another that I have been rejected for the (who knows how many) times. I spend hours every week on this trying different things to connect and there is no one to contact and they do not message you back. It is frustrating, because I would really like to spend time elsewhere. I have an LLC and have been selling online for over 18 months with my website. I am still not authorized or verified on FB or IG. Do not waste your time on this and stick to your website and email list as much as you can

Meta support was friendly - but that is the only thing going for it. I've been going back and forth with Meta support for the last two weeks trying get all of my products (62 total) that are approved, synced, and visible on Meta commerce catalog and Meta store previews to actually display on the live Facebook/Instagram shops. The most I've seen displayed were 8.

They continually ignored information that actually seemed worth investigating (Such as: Instagram would automatically tag a product—that wasn't visible in the Instagram shop, but was synced and approved—if I posted an image that was similar to product image. From that point on, that product would be visible in the shop. Also if someone purchased a product through Shopify, and the product wasn't visible in Meta shops, after the Shopify purchase, the product would show in Meta shops also).

They continually told me fix products with issues that would prevent them from being on the store. One product issue is being out of stock, but it is actually out of stock). Another was a coming soon/not available for purchase item that had been removed from their sales channel.

I've cleared cache, cookies, tried different devices, different browsers, had others try in different cities. All had the same result.

This app is so bad, I don't understand how this can be the official app, it keeps crashing and all the error messages are super generic, you're left with no clue of what happened. Since I can't send my support message through the app because it keeps saying "Something went wrong". I'm gonna try here:

I have created a new facebook account specifically for my business, using the business email. I set everything up using this new account, sent all documents proving my identity and company ownership but for some reason after a few days, my account got suspended and subsequently deactivated. I am now trying to set everything up again, using my personal Facebook account which I have owned for many years, but unfortunately again, I can't go past the setup step, since the Shopify app still seems to be connected to the deactivated account somehow. The *only* thing I wanted is to be able to run ads using the Facebook Pixel, but it seems to be impossible. How can I proceed from here?

Facebook/Meta is the worst. I have been trying to reach out to support for two month because they shut down my shop on Facebook for a violation that I did not violate. I followed the link to request a review but the button is grayed out on my end and I cannot click it to request a review. I have told them this for TWO MONTHS and have not received any support from anyone. I just started a business and this has been the most frustrating process and it should not be. All I am requesting is help, and as a business owner, I should be granted that request. Plain and simple.

地球上最坏的支持! !我的商店disappeared with active customers and I’ve emailed meta over 15 times with each rep not having a single clue on how to fix the situation. This started when they implemented the new update and now we all have the same complain but don’t waste your time contact meta corporate as these meta support “contractors” barely speak English or understand how to fix the situation! They act like they have no clue what’s wrong or what’s going on with the site and make it seem like it’s something you did wrong when clearly based off all these new reviews it’s not just me or any of the other people who left a review, we all have the exact same issues, just know it’s the meta support people that’s the problem and they do not know how to fix the situation, since Oct 2022 I’m still without a shop and I lost all my customers and months of my time! The meta contractors who answer these emails never do their job or don’t know how to speak English, and they just disappear after the first email explaining to them what’s wrong cause they have absolutely no clue on how to respond, fix the situation or they just do not UNDERSTAND ENGLISH ALL TOGETHER!!! I’ve asked for a manager and never get one! I have over 15 emails and two months later and I’m still sitting here with all my shops shut down, my personal fb pages disabled and my pixel no longer working on my Shopify site. I now have chargebacks on my store as my shop where I’ve been selling for the last two years that had active customers and orders literally disappeared in the middle of the night back in November and when I explain this to meta contractors cause that’s what they are and who responds back, they act like it’s you and something you did wrong when clearly it’s not just me based off of all the reviews I’ve just read!!!!! Meta than tells me I’m no longer the admin of my store and I need to be added but who disconnected me from my store? I’m the only owner? So explain that? Everything was connected perfectly and I’ve never advertised but since the new update all my stores are gone, I can’t even add me to my own Facebook account cause I’m now restricted from advertising and when that happens you can not add or manage anything on Facebook so how am I to add me back to the business than? Who removed me? Where is my store? My customers had already paid me and I can’t even ship them products since all the stores are gone!!! Meta try’s to tell me that I do not get paid till after I ship a product which is untrue if you are paid through Shopify only which I am so I get my money on my debit card within 24 hours weather I ship or not!!!! Meta has no clue how things work! After 15 emails and countless screen shots they are now asking me for a video as they do not understand English or understand what I’ve explain in my really long and detailed emails Ive sent to each support person! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THE SUPPORT PEOPLE, they have not fixed one account yet since the update!!!! CONTACT CORPORATE IN WRITING LIKE I DID AND SEND OVER ALL THE RESPONSES META SENDS TO YOU TO SHOW THE PROOF THAT META CONTRACTORS HAVE NO CLUE, don’t speak an ounce of ENGLISH NOR UNDERSTAND English! All my personal fb pages are now disabled and blocked from advertising and the meta people tell me to make myself the admin which I never removed than meta asked me to give them permission to go into my accounts and fix everything which I gave them twice and all they did was connect the wrong shops to the wrong websites and made things so bad now I lost so much money I’m thinking about court action! I’ve asked for months for a manager, for my issues to be escalated to someone who can help and they meta people either do not respond and disappear so I have to keep creating new tickets in hoping to get someone who can fix the situation but based off of all the new recent reviews I’ve just read, this tells me they still have no clue on how to fix this issue!!!! Thanks for nothing “porsha” Candace, John, mealy, Joanne, William, Steve and this is just a few of the people contracted from meta who wasted weeks of my time or just plain old disappeared!!!

First/initial setup was OK I was able to sync about 75% of our products, some were missing, then I realised newly added products were not syncing... so I tried to fix this issue and has been ongoing for weeks and taking up a huge amount of time. You'd think the official FB app would be working ok for the most part but i've had nothing but issues. Also despite doing multiple screenshares, emails, sending screenshots and more... they are still unable to fix this issue. Now I have products "stuck" on FB that I cannot delete (many 1000s) because you can only do it within this app and the app after reinstalling it in an attempt to fix is syncing a total of 0 products this time around... which means that we are STILL trying to find workarounds. Going to try another app and see if I can resolve this. But even if Meta do manage to resolve my issues, I am 100% not satisfied with the overall experience and time waste i've had to incur because of this app not working properly from the get-go. This has caused me some levels of stress and unhappiness - naturally as no one likes their time wasted!

Everything was good until now. But now it happens from time to time that the data is not transferred correctly. Multiple shops are now drastically overreporting conversions. This has to have something to do with how the pixel is installed via this app. Probably counting the refresh of the order confirmation as a sale.
I am not talking about one or two conversions more, it's a 10-20x! I had 10 sales but over 100 were reported to the admanager. This seriously messes with ad delivery and interpreting data.
I'll update this review to five stars if someone fixes this problem.

If I can give minus stars I will.

The support and service are so bad that the only thing those CS reps care are to close the case ASAP instead of helping you to actually solve the issue. I had an issue with the business account, the CS reps kept changing and every time there was a new reps I had to explain everything all over again and it's literally without any progress or solve my business account issue or whatsoever and they just closed the case because the case was more than 48 hours! At the end I figured out myself to fix the account issue.

And now, I am stocked in the process of verify my business despite by providing all the legal documents to them they kept asking for more info, seriously?! What more company legal info you will need to verify a company? Company registration document, check! But No from FB. Company Bank Account Statement, Check! But No from FB. Company Director's resident document, Check! But No from FB!

I tried to contact FB to figure out this matter for too many times, but no answer no feedback, VERY typical FB, bad service, poor product, simply don't care individual merchants.

This has been a complete NIGHTMARE. My personal account was hacked and I have lost administrative permissions and now my FB and Instagram shops through Shopify have been blocked. I am losing sales every day because there is no way to reach FB - there is no access to a human being who can help. I have tried to open a new account in my business name and now they claim I am mis-using the platform by using a different name (my business name). I will have to disconnect my Shopify FB and Instagram shops if this can't be resolved. It is the most infuriating thing. I highly recommend insisting that Meta provide access to a human who can help and not just block people who have been hacked. Please f please find a way to help us small business owners. I know I am not the only person who has experienced this. Thank you.
